Straight answers about LucyIQ — what it is, what it costs, and how it keeps your knowledge private.
It answers the questions your customers and staff keep asking, from your own website and documents, day and night. You stop being the person everyone has to ask.
ChatGPT answers from the whole internet and will guess. Lucy answers only from your own information, and says so when it doesn’t know.
It only answers from what you have given it, and it shows where each answer came from. If something is wrong, tell Lucy the right answer in plain words and it is fixed on the spot.
It says so rather than guessing, takes the visitor’s email, and passes you the whole conversation. The question also goes on a short list for you, with a drafted answer you approve in one click.
About a minute: give it your website address and it reads your pages and starts answering. After that, you change anything by telling Lucy what you want.
Yes. It is private to your business, stored in Australia, and never used to train anyone else’s AI.
From $39 a month per agent, with no contract: you pay monthly and can cancel any time. It can never run up a bill, because it pauses at its limit.
Yes, free. Type your website address at lucyiq.com/try and you get a working agent built from your own site in about a minute, with no card needed.
LucyIQ is a private AI agent platform for every size of business, from one owner-operator to a 100-location franchise. Your information, your AI, nobody else’s. You upload your documents or point it at your website, and your business instantly has a smart AI agent that answers questions using your information — for staff training, customer FAQs, or support. No AI expertise is required, and you can be live in minutes.
Every size of business, from one owner-operator to a 100-location franchise — especially those where staff or customers repeatedly ask the same questions. Common users include gyms and fitness studios, hospitality groups, retail chains, healthcare clinics, and trade businesses.
A general chatbot answers from the public internet and can confidently invent facts about your business. LucyIQ uses private RAG: the agent answers only from your own uploaded documents and website content (Professional and above can optionally search the web, and say when they have). It stays accurate, stays on-brand, and keeps your data private — it never trades on other customers’ data or the open web.
It’s built specifically not to. Because it answers only from your own documents and website — Professional and above can optionally search the web — it won’t invent facts the way a general chatbot can. When it genuinely doesn’t have the answer in your knowledge, it tells the person so and offers to hand them to a human instead of guessing. You can also have it show which of your documents an answer came from, so anyone can check the source.
Yes, in seconds, and you don’t need to touch any settings. If an answer isn’t quite right, you correct it in plain language and the agent uses your correction from then on. You can give any answer a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, and the agent quietly keeps a list of the questions it struggled with so you can see where your knowledge has gaps and fill them. Add a new document or edit an existing one and the agent knows the new information within seconds.
Whenever you add, change, or remove a document, the agent re-learns it within seconds — there’s no overnight rebuild and no manual “retrain” button to remember. If it answers from your website, you can refresh that content whenever your site changes. Everything the agent knows is always the current version of your own material, on every plan.
Yes, automatically. If a visitor writes to your agent in Spanish, French, German, Japanese or many other languages, the agent detects it and replies in that language — using your same private knowledge, not a generic web translation. The chat window’s own labels switch to the visitor’s language too. There is nothing to configure and it works on every plan.
There are four agent types, and one account can hold up to five agents — each on its own plan — so you can run several at once (even two of the same type) and mix the tiers. You can choose from:
An agent. This is the part people most often get the wrong way round: you don’t buy one plan for your whole business and then receive agents inside it. You hire an agent — a Team Expert for staff, a Helpdesk or Ask-Us Agent for customers — and choose a plan for that agent. Each agent is its own monthly subscription.
You pay per agent, from $39 per month. Each agent you hire carries its own plan — Business $39, Professional $79, or Ultimate $149 per month — and the plan sets that agent’s monthly usage, storage, concurrent chats, team seats, and advanced features (such as web search, voice-to-text, and removing LucyIQ branding). Every agent type costs the same at a given tier, so you’re choosing what the agent does, then how much capacity it needs. Self-learning agents are included on every plan.
About 7,500 a month on Business, 15,000 on Professional and 30,000 on Ultimate, per agent. These are estimates based on the average question and answer across LucyIQ agents, whether the question comes from a customer, a website visitor or one of your team. Longer answers use more of the allowance and shorter ones less, and your dashboard shows exactly where you stand. If you need more, extra capacity costs less than a cent a question.
No surprise bills. Your dashboard shows how much of your monthly allowance you’ve used and roughly how many days are left at your current pace, so you’re never caught out. If you’re running low you can add extra capacity in a click, and if an agent does reach its limit it simply pauses new answers until your allowance resets rather than running up an overage. Your allowance refreshes every month.

Yes, and most businesses should. One account holds up to five agents and each one carries its own plan, so you can run a busy staff Team Expert on Ultimate while a quieter Ask-Us Agent sits on Business. You can upgrade or downgrade a single agent at any time without touching the others, and adding an agent later never changes the plans of the agents you already have.
Yes — the Franchise plan (lucyiq.com/franchise). You publish your operations manual once to a central hub, and every location’s AI agent answers from it in seconds, while each location keeps its own local details (hours, prices, staff) that override the manual where they differ. You run the whole network from a Franchise HQ console — add or remove locations without a repeat checkout, decide what each location can change, and see network-wide insight (aggregates, never a feed of individual conversations). It’s billed on one card from $59 per assistant per month at each location (minimum 3 locations; 100+ is a contact-us enterprise arrangement), and your franchisees never see a checkout, a price, or an allowance. If a location leaves your network, it keeps its own local knowledge. Each location gets 7 manager logins per assistant, plus 30 more logins for staff who only ask the assistants questions. Your manual is answered to signed-in staff only, never to customers on a public chat, unless you mark an assistant as safe for customers.
Both, and you set the balance. Head office publishes the shared operations manual once and every location answers from it, while each location keeps its own local details — hours, prices, staff — that override the manual where they differ. From the Franchise HQ console you decide exactly what each location is allowed to change, so your brand voice and core answers stay consistent across the whole network while local facts stay accurate on the ground.
Yes. Each agent has its own isolated knowledge base, accounts are separated, and your content is never shared across customers or used to answer for anyone else. Traffic is encrypted, sits behind Cloudflare’s DDoS protection, and backups are encrypted and stored off-site. You and your team sign in without a password — using a secure, single-use email link — which is safer than a password you have to remember and reuse. See our Trust & Security page for detail.
Technical detail — for solution architects, IT teams, and security reviewers. Under the hood, LucyIQ is a multi-tenant platform in which each client occupies a logically isolated tenant (its own subsite) with its own content and configuration, so one customer’s data is never exposed to another. Each agent’s knowledge base is its own partition of the vector database, enforced by PostgreSQL row-level security, and retrieval is scoped to that partition at query time — the language model is only ever shown passages from your own content, never another tenant’s. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+, with HTTP/2 and HTTP/3) and fronted by Cloudflare, which absorbs DDoS attacks and masks the address of our origin servers. Dashboard access is role-based with granular per-feature permissions, and all system email is SPF-, DKIM-, and DMARC-authenticated. Backups are AES-encrypted and replicated to off-site object storage on a daily (database) and weekly (file) schedule, supporting a robust disaster-recovery posture.
Your knowledge base is private to your account. It is never used to answer another customer’s questions and is never blended into a shared AI model — every answer your agent gives is built only from your own content. You can see your own conversations in your dashboard and delete any of them, or an agent’s entire history, at any time. We don’t sell your data. See our Trust & Security page for the full detail.
Conversations are kept for 12 months, then permanently deleted automatically. You can shorten that to 6 or 3 months for any agent (Ultimate agents can extend it to 24 months), and you can delete a single conversation — or an agent’s entire history — yourself at any time, which is what you need when one of your own customers asks you to erase their data. Deleting conversations never changes your usage, allowance, time-saved figures or your bill, and never removes a support ticket that came out of a chat.
Yes. For public conversations you’ll see the visitor’s IP address on the conversation, with two options: block them and delete that conversation, or block them and delete everything they’ve sent. Blocking applies to every agent on your site, and they’re shown a neutral “not available” message rather than being told they’re blocked. If you get it wrong, unblock them in one click under Settings ▸ Blocked Visitors. Conversations with your own signed-in staff are never recorded this way, so you can’t accidentally block your team.
Yes — on the Ultimate plan. An Ultimate agent can also answer from your other agents’ knowledge on the same account: for example, your Sales Expert can draw on everything your Helpdesk agent knows, while the Helpdesk agent keeps its own knowledge to itself. Sharing is read-only (uploads and corrections always go to the agent they belong to), it’s entirely within your own account, and answers show which agent’s knowledge they came from.
Yes. You set how formal or friendly it sounds, how brief or detailed its answers are, how it greets people, and more — with simple sliders, no prompt-writing required. You can give it a name and a short description of your business so it introduces itself the way you’d want, and match its colours, icon, and position to your brand. Change any of it whenever you like and it applies straight away. With more than one assistant, one tick makes them share the same look, personality or opening hours.
Yes, on the Ultimate plan. By default a small “Powered by LucyIQ” line appears in the chat; where your plan allows it, you can switch that off so the agent looks entirely like your own. The chat’s colours, name, and icon are yours on every plan either way.
Yes — that’s one of the most popular uses. The Team Expert is internal-facing: staff ask procedural questions (“what’s our refund policy?”, “how do I open the gym?”) and get instant answers from your own manuals, instead of interrupting a manager or digging through folders.
Yes. Each plan includes team seats (more on higher plans), and you decide what each person can do — one colleague might manage documents while another only views conversations. Everyone signs in to your own secure dashboard, and internal agents like the Team Expert are reachable only by your logged-in team, never the public.
Minutes, and no. Agents come pre-configured with sensible defaults. You upload a few documents (or enable website indexing), optionally tweak the tone and look, and you’re live. No coding or AI knowledge required.
Copy one <script> tag onto any website and a branded chat bubble appears. You set its position, size, and colours without touching code. Internal agents (like staff training) can instead be accessed privately through your secure login.
Any website. The single line of code works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or a fully custom site — you don’t need a plugin or a developer. Internal agents that shouldn’t be public are reached through your secure login instead of an embed, and a mobile app for staff is on the way.
Word (DOC/DOCX), PDF, PowerPoint (PPTX), spreadsheets (CSV/XLSX), text, Markdown, HTML and RTF files (up to 50 MB each) — uploaded directly in your dashboard, including a whole folder at once. You can also let an agent index your website automatically from your sitemap. On the Ultimate plan, each agent also gets its own private email address — email a document as an attachment (from your phone, from a supplier) and it’s added to the agent’s knowledge; your team is allowed automatically, and outside senders you approve are held for a quick review first.
A LucyIQ mobile app for iOS and Android is on the way, designed especially for the Team Expert — so frontline staff can ask a question by voice or text and get an answer instantly, from anywhere.
It says so instead of guessing, and offers to put the person in touch with you. Every agent type hands over to a human: a Helpdesk Agent creates a tracked helpdesk ticket, a Sales Expert records a lead, and the other agents send you the question with the person’s email so you can reply directly. On Professional and Ultimate plans, tickets and leads can be routed to the right person across up to five categories. Unanswered questions also go on your review list so you can fill the gap.
Yes. Subscriptions are monthly. If you cancel, your data is kept for a limited grace period so you can reactivate, then permanently deleted.
